While on the way to the campsite~
Throw me all your bullets people.
What am I doing now when I'm supposed to be starting on my self esteem essay. But it's ok, I'll get to it right after this! Went to Malaysia on Saturday just for a day trip to kinda take a look at the supposed campsite for the RR ER camp however it turned out to be more like a holiday. Remove the stigma about campsite rackying ( it sounds like that but i have ZERO idea how to spell it so) and throw in the party music cos this trip was such a great getaway!! How therapeutic was it to just take a break from this fast paced lifestyle and high rise buildings in Singapore and just dwell in the beauty of nature in Malaysia. Driving through the palm plantations and agriculture fields really gets me thinking about like...life. How cliche and so "mature" however it is really true. Nowadays, how many of us can say we find happiness in nature. Not me truthfully. I dont really feel happier when I see flowers but when I see money...thats a different story. Haha just kidding, I'm not that materialistic but you get the point. Maybe it's just me but somehow or rather, the clouds there seems fluffier and the sky, more blue and clear. The air seems fresher and the land seems happier. Much more content. Of course the company I went with were amazing. Sui Sim and Stacey were the bestest pals I could ever ask for. Of course I wished Megan couldve joined us but it's ok, there'll always be a second time :) Such trips I would surely want to take my loved ones someday in the future.
As we drove along the pathway, we saw SOOOO many elephant footprints and were blessed enough to have chanced upon some tiger footprints like FOR REAL. Can you imagine them just lingering nearby? HOW COOL RIGHT!!! I mean cool if they dont kill any of us if not it wouldnt be cool anymore. More like kill...geddit? Lame. Anywho, I must say the highlight of the trip was definitely the middle of the road jumpshots. Not only was it super duper fun ( and not to mention tiring) , it really allowed me to scream my heart out. All the worries, grievances, troubles, untold feelings all could be expressed into each jump. In the vastness of the land, my problems just seem to disappear. That's when I can really enjoy myself and appreciate what God has created. It's such trips that I truly enjoy. Of course I love shopping trip too, dont get me wrong, but such trips are trips that really gets me appreciating what I have and start being thankful. Despite the hot and humid weather there, the children never seem to complain. Despite not having electricity from 7am to 7pm, they can still hold a smile throughout the day and get through the day with loads of laughter and no social media. I doubt I can do that man.
I would like to thank commander David for taking care of us three girls throughout this journey. He being ever so nice and fatherly, treating us to delicious seafood and taking note of what we liked to eat during our conversations. Thank you for painlessly driving us around and not getting any sleep. Thank you for being so selfless. :)
