There once was a whale
living deep in the sea
No one knew who
or what she was
She longed and wished
she could go out to see
how majestic and big
he could be.
With tall green tree lining along his length
and mystical creatures roaming his land.
"Oh give me a chance,
I want to see,
How large and magnificent
he can be."
So the whale took off
to the North of the sea
and tried to follow
the shores of he.
She swam and swam
but could not see
the end of he.
"How big can he be!"
A few miles down,
she observed
a tuff of smoke coming out of he.
"Oh no, is he okay?
Is he sick?
How can it be!
Just a few miles ago
I saw what I've never seen,.
A beautiful peacock
strutting along the stream,
then spotlights of colours
shining like a beam"
And further down again,
she observed
a landfill of rubbish
floating on the sea.
Then the pungent smell
came to she.
"Oh no, what's happening,
what's happening to he?
He was so beautiful, so enchanting!
But now he's getting even worse than can be."
Polluted and dirty,
so what can she still see?
Floating plastics in yellow seas,
cigarette buds in the trees.
"Everything's crumbling
This is not how I thought it would be.
I think I should go back
into my deep blue sea"
She made her way back
however could not find,
what used to be hers
was no longer kind.
Her dolphin friends were trapped in nets,
the sharks she swam with
had no more their hands.
"What is happening, I don't understand.
When my journey
has come to an end,
everything has changed.
No longer how it was.
My lovely home,
is destroyed at all costs."
It is about a whale being very fascinated in intrigued with land/earth , or what she perceives as "he". Just like adolescent females having crushed and being interested in boys. So she went on a journey to find out more about this "boy" , how enchanting his tall trees are, how beautiful the animals has and all his "features". As she embarked on her journey, she slowly finds out that "he" isn't as good or wonderful and perfect she thought "he" would be. This is because of all the human activities that has caused mother nature and earth to be destroyed bit by bit. She gets disappointed and heads back home, but only to find that even her home (the seas) are not spared this harsh treatment and that the world isn't what it used to be.
I thought to write something along the lines of trying to raise awareness of the damages of human activities to nature and the animals so I just scribbled some words down. Hope it made some sense? XD
so it's somewhat scribbled here since I tried to write it w/o getting caught by miss rajah since I sit in the first row XP
